Default Credit card companies raising limits

It might be nice if you're a student and you've got no money, but credit card companies are finally being pulled up on raising limits without consent. Although interest rates have gone down, credit card rates have crept up, and it has become more and more expensive to have a credit card - something to be aware of if you have a credit card!

Although a credit card is sometimes necessary - if you're a student please be very careful, and make sure you know what you're doing, and what the interest rates and charges are. If you've got an outstanding balance on your card and are only paying the minimum every month you can easily end up paying 17% of the balance every year.. without really reducing the outstanding amount..
