Default 17yr old Student, looking for summer internship in physics/engineering

I am a 17 year old Student and I am currently at oakbank 6th form studying physics, maths, psychology and I.T. Normally I have nothing to do during the summer holidays and so I am looking to gain some work experiance (and maybe some money) during the summer by doing an internship (near to bradford, I have to be able to get there lol), so far it has been difficult to find one. Maybe I am asking for too much or something, any advice on what I should do? or even better where I can find a job like this.

Default looking for summer internship in physics/engineering

Hi,

An internship or work experience sounds like a really good idea. Internships are usually (not always though!) done whilst you're at university, but come companies do offer schemes for either school leavers or those in their last year.

Your best bet is to put together a list of companies that have physics / engineering sections, or elements to them, and which are in your area. You can then write letters to them with your CV and see if they have anything to offer.

Good luck with it..
