Back to the Supermarkets!
Guys - if you're looking for a term time job, keep on looking at the supermarkets. Although there's been quite a bit of stuff in the news about how many applications they get for each position, the number of jobs available has gone up.
You're going to have to make yourself stand out more from the competition (probably your friends!) so work on your CV and think about what will make them pick you over others..
We've got some of the supermarkets in our jobs results list - but otherwise do this:
a) Write a list of all supermarkets that you could commute to
b) Go in and ask for application forms from all of them
c) As they'll be quite similar it won't mean a huge amount of extra work
d) Hand the application forms in
e) Find out what their policy is for getting in touch - it does no harm and just shows your willingness if you give them a call to see how they are getting on with the job application. Just don't bombard them with calls!!
The supermarket chains all have websites as well, so check them out and see if they have "careers" sections.
Good luck!
